In order to ensure all our guests have a safe and enjoyable experience, we ask that you adhere to the following policies.


Boat Rental Waiver


I. Introduction

Welcome to Lake Jericho Recreation & RV Park. This Boat Rental Waiver Agreement (“Agreement”) is designed to ensure the safety and responsibility of all parties involved in the boat rental process. Please read the Agreement carefully before signing.


II. Parties to the Agreement

This Agreement is made between JO Investments LLC, dba Lake Jericho Recreation & RV Park, herein referred to as the “Company” located at 1317 Lake Access Rd Smithfield KY 40068, and the undersigned participant, herein referred to as the “Renter.”


III. Acknowledgment of Risks

Boat renting activities inherently involve risks, hazards, and dangers.

These risks, hazards, and dangers could lead to injury, loss, or damage to the Renter or others.

By signing this document, the Renter expressly assumes all risks associated with the rental activity.


IV. Condition of the Boat

The Renter will conduct an inspection of the boat and its equipment before operation.

By signing this Agreement, the Renter acknowledges their responsibility to ensure the boat’s condition.

The Renter confirms that the boat is in good condition and suitable for its intended purpose.

Any concerns or issues regarding the boat’s condition should be addressed before signing the Agreement.

The Renter assumes responsibility for any damages caused by neglecting to inspect the boat or operating it in unsuitable conditions.


V. Rules and Safety Regulations

The Renter agrees to adhere to all rules and safety regulations provided by JO Investments LLC, dba Lake Jericho Recreation & RV Park and relevant authorities while operating the rented boat. Failure to adhere to these rules may result in the immediate termination of the rental agreement without refund.


VI. Liability Waiver and Release

The Renter hereby releases, waives, discharges, and covenants not to sue JO Investments LLC, dba Lake Jericho Recreation & RV Park, its officers, employees, and agents from all liabilities, claims, actions, damages, costs, or expenses which the Renter may have against them arising out of or in any way connected with the Renter’s participation in the rental activities, including without limitation any liabilities arising out of accidents or injury caused by equipment malfunction or the Renter’s negligence while operating the boat.


VII. Medical Treatment Consent

In the event of an emergency, the Renter consents to medical treatment deemed immediately necessary by medical personnel. The Renter accepts all responsibility for the cost of such treatment.


VIII. Insurance

The Renter understands that it is advised to have personal insurance that will cover personal accidents and damages during the rental period.


IX. Agreement Term and Termination

This Agreement is valid from the date of signing until the end of the rental period as agreed upon between the Company and the Renter. The Company reserves the right to terminate the agreement immediately upon any breach of terms by the Renter.


X. Acknowledgment

By signing this document, the Renter acknowledges having read and understood this Agreement and agrees to all its terms and conditions. The Renter acknowledges that this waiver and release is being signed voluntarily and with the full intent of releasing JO Investments LLC, dba Lake Jericho Recreation & RV Park from all liability to the fullest extent allowed by law.

Lake Jericho Recreation and RV park is pet friendly and welcomes campers who travel and share their camping with the family dog and/or cat. However to insure all of our guests have a safe and enjoyable time, it is important that you read and abide by the following pet policy if you will have a pet with you.


Pets are welcome but their owners must be well behaved!! ;)

Pets must be registered at our store. There is no charge for your pet unless in you are staying in our Cabins.

All dogs are required to be under the control and visual observation of their owner at all times if outside the camping unit.

A six foot  maximum length leash must be used whenever the dog is outside the owners camping unit.

Do know that the KY Health Department Rules dictate NO PETS in the store, bathrooms, laundry, game room, play ground, recreation areas and the pool area.

Dogs are not to be walked by children 6 years and under unless accompanied by an adult.

All pet owners are required to pick up all pet droppings on and off their site, seal it in a plastic bag

and dispose of in a trash can. Not picking up after your pet is reason to be asked to leave the campground.

Aggressive dogs of any breed are not welcome. If your dog shows behavior that is protective and unfriendly to strangers, please leave it home. If you decide to bring your dog and it exhibits this type of behavior the owner or manager will ask you to find other camping accommodations.

Allowing your pet to bark uncontrollably day or night will not be permitted and you may be asked to leave if you are not able to control your pets barking behavior.

Service dogs of any breed are welcome. However, these animals must follow the leash policies and may not exhibit aggressive behavior.

Pets must not be left outside unattended by their owners at any time. Dog kennels or crates are not permitted to be used outside the camping unit. Dogs must be inside your camper at night.  Our major insurance provider requirements are that we cannot accept breeds having a history of unfriendly and aggressive behavior to both other dogs and humans. These breed identified by the insurance provider are Dobermans, Pitt Bulls, Rottweilers, Chows, Wolfs and mixes of any of these breeds.
